U-20: France to host USA, Germany in World Cup build-up tourney

USA, France, Germany and Haiti to feature in U-20 Women's World Cup preparations tournament
Former three-time champions USA among nations to feature in South Ladies Cup.

France will host USA, Germany and Haiti in the U-20 Sud Ladies Cup on 3–11 June.

The four will be using the tournament to fine-tune ahead of the 2018 U-20 Women’s World Cup.

This will be the latest of a series of preparation tournaments for France and USA—both suited up against U-23 sides in the U-23 La Manga tournament last month.

Nigeria and Ghana will be Africa’s torchbearers in the U-20 World Cup to be held in France on 5–24 August.

Nigeria have been pooled in Group D in the World Cup alongside China and former three-time champions Germany.

Debutants Haiti, who stunned favourites Canada in the Concacaf qualifiers to reach their first ever U-20 World Cup, wrap up Group D.

Ghana, hit by injuries in recent weeks, are in Group A together with 2016 finalists France, New Zealand and Netherlands.

The joint topscorer in the African qualifiers for the U-20 Women’s World Cup Princella Adubea is among the Black Princesses players nursing injuries.
